Kia Ata Mai offers ministry-funded PLD to kura leadership and kaiako in māori-medium and bilingual settings to strengthen aromatawai practice.

PLD Information

Aromatawai PLD consists of six days of professional learning, and eight Communities of Practice per kura over a twelve month period. PLD is co-designed with kura leaders and kaiako based on the Aromatawai rubric.

Focus areas include:

  • using quality information to plan teaching and for reporting

  • using inclusive and accessible practices

  • using learning outcomes for mokopuna success

  • collecting, storing and visibility of quality information

  • using tools and resources to support practice and generate quality information
